About Me

I have been teaching yoga since 2004 and am an E-RYT500 through Yoga Alliance.

I first discovered yoga 25 years ago and was instantly drawn to the peace of the practice. I believe yoga is one of the greatest gifts of my life, shaping my way of experiencing the world. Sharing a small slice of this vast practice with others is an honor.

I received my primary vinyasa training through Tranquil Space in Washington, DC. Further studies include the Pilates mat training through Quantum Pilates, completion of Dr. Ariele Foster’s Yoga Anatomy Training and Jill Miller’s Level 1 Yoga Tune Up® Teacher Training in anatomy, biomechanics, and yoga therapeutics.

Centered on mindful movement, creative transitions and sequencing, balancing mobility and stability, and clear guidance of breath-initiated flow, my classes have been described as challenging yet relaxing, grounded and supportive. I encourage a sense of self-inquiry and trust in your own body.

A dancer all my life, I received my B.S. in Ballet and French from Indiana University and continued to dance professionally for nearly 15 years in ballet and contemporary companies, touring, performing, and teaching throughout the United States and internationally to the Middle East (Jordan, Israel, Bahrain, UAE, Palestine), Eastern Europe (Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia), South America (Chile), Russia and Eurasia (Kazakhstan, Belarus) and Asia (China). A dance educator for over 25 years, I have worked with all ages. I am currently an Adjunct Instructor at American University where I teach ballet. I have completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
